Sydney Howe-Barksdale

Bio
Sydney Howe-Barksdale graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a B.A. in Anthropology and French Language and Literature. She earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law with a Certificate in Public Interest Law. She wrote for the Harvard University Law School Reconstruction Journal. She earned her doctorate degree from Seton Hall University and continues her research in Legal Anthropology. Her most recent publication is linked below.Â

During law school, Dr. Howe-Barksdale worked as a paralegal for the Immigrant Legal Resource Project and with the Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo PC Immigration Law Clinic Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project, helping unaccompanied minors and asylum applicants.
Dr. Howe-Barksdale served as an Assistant Dean and professor at Widener University’s Delaware Law School. More recently, Dr. Howe-Barksdale’s professional associations include the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and the National Immigration Project.
